V1.12 : presentation of the evolutions

In addition to the video available on the Facebook group, here is the list of evolutions available on version 1.12.

GOOGLE MAPS: on-demand info display

Google has suddenly decided to change its pricing and APIs for the display of Google Maps services…
In order not to have to pass on the costs of these changes imposed by Google, we had to make optimizations with one objective: to reduce the calls to the “Maps” services, while maintaining an equal level of information.

2 direct impacts in the mission pricing area:

  • The map is only displayed in the pricing zone if the employee requests it
  • The calculation of the trips (duration and kilometers) is no longer displayed automatically. A button allows you to launch it and then to store it if no changes have been made to the mission’s route. The display of the map also launches the calculation of the trip.

=> The operation collaborators have access to the data, although 1 more click is needed
=> The area for writing the wording of the service sold is twice as large as before

EVOLUTION IN THE FILTERS on the planning and the file

  • Added the possibility to filter between 2 hours “start time” and “end time”. The filter also works on a date range (ex: from June 16th 6:00 PM to June 18th 8:00 AM)
  • Filtering on a mission number is more readable
  • The filtering of missions from the file is greatly facilitated! … and has led to an ergonomic modification of the left zone of the file header

FILE : ergonomic modification

In the wake of the modification of the file header, we have also reorganized the buttons on the right.

LIST: new search engine

The search engine of several lists benefit from a new search engine with 2 levels: simple and advanced search.

WAYNIUM : patches and process improvement V1

  • The update of locations and passengers on confirmed WAYNIUM missions is fully operational, without a reciprocal acceptance process. A notification is sent to inform the other party that a change has been made. The notification is stored in the mission chat.
If the missions are in status 3, only the principal can intervene on the passengers and locations of the mission but not the subcontractor.
  • Mission cancellation: developments to improve existing processes.
  • Correction: Subcontractor refusal reason feedback

NB: the missions transmitted by WAYNIUM are still not deletable, for information traceability reasons. We advise you to change their status to “cancelled” and “invisible” so that they do not appear on the schedule.

APP WAY-D: better identifiable geolocation for your drivers

The geolocation conditions of your drivers have not changed BUT the activation / deactivation has been made more visible on the last update of WAY-D by a button directly accessible.

If this change is related to the API attached to the application, it also gave us ideas for future features related to the geolocation of drivers.

WAYNIUM V2: status

The launch of the V2 has been postponed, you may have guessed it 😉

It’s first of all because we want it:

  • well calibrated
  • functional
  • operational

… And also because a lot of unforeseen technical problems have been encountered, among them: server infrastructure, loading time of the schedule, modification of the Google Maps conditions (last one)… and the stability of the existing service is more important than any new development.

Relaunch of the project planned this summer… to be continued…

To come, among others

  • The RGPD file: we are in the middle of specifications
  • A new form for the transport on regular lines

And if not… the result of the live video is on the Facebook group🙂
